July 30 is World Embroidery Day, a perfect day to work on enjoying the art of this stitchery craft. World Embroidery Day is the perfect day to:
- Learn to embroider
- Learn a new stitch
- Start a new embroidery project
- Finish an embroidery project that has languished in the closet
- Meet with fellow enthusiasts to enjoy stitching together
Why not come and join us for an Outdoor Stitch-in on July 30th? Here are the details:
Meet Wednesday, July 30th – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Ray Perrault Park located in North Vancouver at the corner of 13th Street E and Moody Avenue, one block west of Grand Boulevard.
Just north of the parking lot is a treed area where the Outdoor Stitch-in will take place. There is shade, a grassy area and washrooms. Bring a chair, hat, sunscreen, snack and beverage, and of course your stitchery.
IN CASE OF RAIN, this event will be cancelled. NSNAG Members are asked to check their email after 8:00 a.m. for any cancellation notice.
8:00 A.M.UPDATE: Drizzles and coolness are not conducive to stitching outdoors, so reluctantly we have had to cancel this outdoor event. We hope you will take the time in your day today to stitch–even better if done with a friend.
