Meet Textile Artists Anne Brooke and Ali Ferguson

An Afternoon of Stitch, Story & Connection

This September, textile artists, stitchers, guild members, and creative friends are invited to gather for a special afternoon celebrating creativity, community, and the art of stitch.

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 pm, join us in the Common Room at Victoria Hill Condo Community in New Westminster for a relaxed and inspiring meet-and-greet with internationally respected textile artists Anne Brooke and Ali Ferguson who will be visiting Canada for the first time from England and Scotland. They are very excited to be coming and you can see how much here.

This is a one time opportunity to meet and engage with these two amazing textile artists. It will be a perfect segue to the workshops being offered by Anne and Ali later in September in Oliver, BC and Penticton, BC. (more on this later)

Whether you are an experienced maker, a member of a guild, or simply curious about contemporary textile art, this gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow creatives, exchange ideas, and enjoy an afternoon immersed in fabric, thread, and storytelling.

A Shared Trunk Show Experience

This event is more than a meet-and-greet — it’s a celebration of our wider stitching community. Together, we’ll create a combined trunk show designed not only to inspire us through the work of Anne and Ali, but also to inspire one another. Bring a piece to share, a story to tell, or simply your curiosity and enthusiasm.

In addition to the meet and greet, Anne and Ali will be travelling to Oliver and Penticton September 11 – 13, 2026 to share their expertise in several of the workshops that they described in the video. Although the workshops have filled quickly there are still spaces available and you may contact Lynn U. at her email.
