June 6, 2026 and it was our day to attend West Vancouver’s Community Cultural Fest as representatives of North Shore Needle Arts. Although the day began with a torrential downpour, the clouds were chased away and we found ourselves in the warmth of the sun. Anni and I set up a display of completed embroideries and some inspiration packages from our Boutique on the table provided.
In addition we added some small embroidery hoops each set up with a piece of linen, a needle and some thread.
We were joined by some enthusiastic children wanting to attempt some stitching. It is always delightful to watch their creativity and to enjoy their eagerness in trying something new. Anni was able to network with some embroiderers of other cultures, the results of which we will likely see later!
