The soft rolling hills of England have long inspired me and I have many ( many, many ) images taken on country drives! I have often tried to reproduce the soft gentle colours and to capture the feeling of distance in the hills.
We will spend one session colouring our hills, creating a sky and building a hedgerow. A big part of these rolling hills is the implied distance and gentle form of each hill and a part of our first session will be spent discussing perspective.
The second day of our workshop will be spent getting started on our stitching! We will discus the many options for stitching and the best types of threads to use.
